Crystal-Prism Growing
The Choice is Crystal Clear

Double-wall polycarbonate
.

Rigid double-layer plastic sheets of acrylic or polycarbonate are available to give long-life, heat-saving covers. These covers have two layers of rigid plastic separated by webs. The double-layer material retains more heat, so energy savings of 30 percent are common. The acrylic is a long-life, nonyellowing material; the polycarbonate normally yellows faster, but usually is protected by a UV-inhibitor coating on the exposed surface. Both materials carry warranties for 10 years on their light transmission qualities. Both can be used on curved surfaces; the polycarbonate material can be curved the most. As a general rule, each layer reduces light by about 10 percent. About 80 percent of the light filters through double-layer plastic, compared with 90 percent for glass.

Our prism design captures more light than any greenhouse on the market. Our multifold crystal roofing allows you to maximize the power from the sun. Capturing the sun's energy for light and heat during those cool winter making your growing experience more efficient and economical.

The multifold prism design of our greenhouse maximizes the capture of the most November-February sunlight, a time when days are naturally short, overcast, and the sun weak and low on the horizon. It also reduces the accumulation of snow.

Sunlight, entering the prism gives a balanced combination of sunlight and heat for most plants and is closest in quality to direct sunlight, supplying a full spectrum of color for strong plant growth without the worry of shadow created by a traditional frame greenhouse.
