The EasyGrow books are designed to make gardening approachable for children and the grown-ups who garden with them. Each book combines story, practical gardening knowledge, simple investigations, and activities that encourage children to notice what is happening around them.
The goal is not just to grow plants. It is to help children grow curiosity, patience, confidence, and a better understanding of the living world.
Bruce Goode has spent much of his life around gardening, greenhouses, and growing things. Before writing EasyGrow, he spent decades building and operating a INC500 greenhouse and pond business.
His books draw on that practical gardening background while focusing on what makes gardening exciting for children: discovering something new, trying an idea, making mistakes, and seeing what happens next.
In addition to the EasyGrow children's gardening series, Bruce writes books about greenhouse gardening and other subjects.
Garden Moose started as a stuffed animal in the late '90s - a little shovel-clutching mascot for Bruce Goode's greenhouse company, where he helped guide more than 10,000 customers for nearly 30 years.
When the company was sold, Garden Moose - and Bruce - found themselves at loose ends. Then Bruce's wife, Jody, nudged them back to the garden. EasyGrow became their next adventure, created for a new generation of kids discovering that growing things is fun.
